    • Due to the nature of our server, which is just opening, our rules are much less strict than those of other Garry’s Mod Servers. These rules are subject to change until the moderation team is happy with the quality of roleplay. For now, common sense should apply to all situations, and when situations come up, new rules will be released.    Definitions of basic rules   RDM Random Death Match (RDM) is the act of killing/downing someone without first engaging in a realistic and quality roleplay. Randomly engaging in a fight scene without a proper backstory/reason for killing people while they are afk is also considered RDM. It is important to always initiate and attempt to role-play before killing someone. This generally does not apply to things such as assassinations and turf wars. Of course, a turf war should be started with quality roleplay interactions.    VDM Vehicular Death Match (VDM) is the act of utilizing a form of transport to kill a person or ramming into a person's vehicle with no roleplay reason. Any act that intentionally degrades the quality of roleplay utilizing a vehicle may count as VDM.    Fail RP Fail RP is the act of failing to roleplay realistically. Performing unrealistic actions or actions that are simply not possible in real life are counted as failed RP.  One such example would be your vehicle being rear-ended by a vehicle traveling at 50 miles per hour. It is unrealistic to continue driving your vehicle after such.    Power Gaming Power Gaming is defined as gaining the upper hand in a situation, utilizing OOC coercion and or threats. Gaining an unrealistic advantage in a situation may be classified as Power Gaming.    LTARP Disconnecting from the server to avoid a roleplay scenario will result in punishment for leaving. If you are disconnected from the server, it is advised that you contact a moderator or explain your situation in our community Discord server to avoid penalties.    LTAP Disconnecting from the server to avoid an OOC punishment, i.e., staff giving you a note for RDM, will result in a ban for LTAP. If you are disconnected from the server, it is advised that you contact a moderator or explain your situation in our community Discord server to avoid penalties.    Character Mixing Character Mixing is mixing the information from your 1 character to another. Let's suppose you have a Gang character and a Police Character. You get the information that your gang hood is going to get raided this second, and they are having a meeting in the room about it right now. You are not supposed to tell/pass on this information to your character or gang member in any way, shape, or form. Your gang is not supposed to know about this operation, and it must stay that way.   New Life Rule New Life Rule applies to all deaths/respawns that do not result in a PK (Permanent Kill). If your character is shot or killed, our systems will automatically put your character into a downed state. You may choose to respawn or wait for medical help. Should you decide to respawn, you may not remember anything from the past 15 minutes. Respawning is prohibited when you have been downed during a roleplay scenario in which other players plan on taking you to the hospital and continuing the roleplay. For example, if the police shoot you during a shootout, resulting in your character falling to the ground, you may not respawn unless the police disengage with the roleplay and leave the area. Should a player respawn after roleplay has been disengaged, they may regain their memory if their attackers come searching for them. It is still prohibited for people to remind the user of the actions unless it falls within the previous rules and regulations. Generally, medical attention is gained by using the /advertisement command. Downed players typically are prohibited from using the /advertisement command. It is allowed when your attackers have fled the scene and more than 5 minutes have passed since your last interaction. Medical attention obtained this way should be role-played as if a concerned individual contacted the authorities. Your character will be allowed to remember the actions that led up to your hospitalization.    Fear RP Fear RP is valuing your life in any given moment, from a simple road crossing event to a straight-up shoot-out with gangsters/police. If you have a chance to move out of the way and live to see the next event and remember it, you should prioritize that over any memory loss or event leading to your character's visit to the Medical Center or worse, permanent death. Fear of RP is very important in any life.   Criminal Organizations Criminal Organizations are held to a higher standard than unofficial crime groups. Criminal Organizations are also granted certain roleplay protections. Official Criminal Organizations may only be commissioned by a global administrator.    Gang / Turf Wars   Gang Wars occur when two or more criminal organizations enter into conflict over disputes such as territory, business interference, or failed negotiations.    Gang Wars may be initiated if:  A dispute can not be resolved through roleplay, or A rival organization is operating within your defined turf without permission Organizations are required to attempt a peaceful resolution first.  Examples include: Verbal Warnings  Threats Non-lethal force (e.g, breaking legs)  These actions serve as escalation. If the opposing groups continue, you may: Permanently kill (PK) the individuals found violating your turf. Retaliation may result in a full Gang War During an active Gang war: Standard RDM rules do not apply between the involved organizations Conflict must remain strictly between the participating groups Gang Wars end when:  A mutual agreement is reached One organization is fully eliminated Staff Intervenes   Turf Wars Turf Wars are formal conflicts over territory expansion.    Turf Wars require approval from a Global Administrator or higher The initiating party accepts the risk of being PK’d A Turf War ends when:  One organization surrenders verbally, or One organization ceases activity in the controlled area The winning organization gains control of the turf   Turf Rules and Definitions Turf represents an area controlled by an organization Turf ownership is tracked via an official map managed by UA Only the global Administration may modify turf claims Within your turf: You have operational control Unauthorized rival presence may justify escalation, including PK under “Turf Interference.”    Assassinations Assassinations or “Hits” may be ordered by a Criminal Organization's Boss or Underboss equivalent. These assassinations must have a proper reason and cannot be used to grant an unfair advantage to Criminal Organizations.    Executions Senior members of a criminal organization may order the execution of a subordinate as part of roleplay. Executions must be roleplay-driven and justified. Valid reasons may include (but are not limited to): Betrayal of the organization Gross incompetence or repeated failures Disrespect or insubordination Actions that significantly harm the organization Executions must include meaningful roleplay and escalation where appropriate. (e.g., warnings, confrontations, or internal discipline prior to execution) Executions cannot be used frivolously or excessively. Administrators may deny or void executions if: They are deemed to degrade roleplay quality They are performed too frequently They are used as a tool for personal targeting or OOC conflict Repeated abuse of execution privileges may result in administrative action.   Leaving a Criminal Organization By joining a criminal organization, a player acknowledges that their character is making a long-term commitment that may be difficult to leave. If a member attempts to leave or cut ties with the organization, the organization may: Pursue them Threaten them Attempt to execute (PK) them Any action taken must be roleplay-driven and include escalation, such as: Confrontations Threats Attempts to bring the individual back Immediate execution without roleplay is not permitted unless there is prior context. Former members may be protected from execution if they have: Entered legitimate witness protection or law enforcement custody, or Joined another organization that can realistically defend them through roleplay “Protection” must be actively roleplayed and maintained. It is not automatic immunity. Administrators may intervene if: The situation becomes one-sided or unrealistic Players are being repeatedly targeted without meaningful roleplay Common PK Reasons The following are recognized, roleplay-driven reasons for a character to be permanently killed (PK). All PKs must involve meaningful roleplay and proper escalation, unless otherwise stated. 1. Grief / Extreme Harm Your character has been subjected to severe and prolonged harm that would reasonably justify lethal retaliation. Examples include: Repeated targeted harassment (e.g., racial slurs) Torture or kidnapping Witnessing the murder of a close associate 2. Failure of Fear RP Your character has shown a clear disregard for their own life in a situation where death was likely. Examples include: Refusing demands at gunpoint without justification Escalating a situation while outnumbered or overpowered 3. Turf Interference Your character knowingly interfered with another organization’s territory or operations and escalated the situation. Examples include: Selling or operating within claimed turf after warnings Disrupting ongoing operations 4. Desertion Your character left a criminal organization and is being pursued as a result. Must follow the Leaving Organization rules Requires roleplay escalation before PK 5. Betrayal (“Rat”) Your character acted against their organization in a way that harms its stability. Examples include: Leaking internal information Undermining leadership Assisting rivals 6. Informant Your character is discovered to be cooperating with law enforcement. Must be proven through roleplay Cannot be assumed without evidence 7. Gang War Your character was killed during an active gang war. Must be an active participant in the conflict Random or uninvolved members should not be PK’d without justification 8. Authorized Execution (Command PK) A high-ranking member (Boss or Underboss) orders your execution. Must follow Execution rules Must be roleplay-justified   Mugging Rules You may mug a player only once every 60 minutes.  Mugging may be done in public, but it can result in a good Samaritan causing your death.
